The first Bench rikishi to go 'kachi-koshi' - ie get his or her 8 wins on eighth day of the tournament (hence the "Nakabi" name of the prizes), will be awarded with the special Nekonishiki Nakabi prize (Nekonishiki Nakabi Zensho Sho). The prize will be a nice diplom, kindly donated by Nekonishiki. Rikishi of all divisions (except Nekonishiki!) are eligible for this prize. In the case that two or more Bench Rikishi all get the first kachi-koshi on Nakabi, then the lowest ranked will be awarded the prize.
The first Bench rikishi to go 'make-koshi' - ie get his or her 8 losses on the eighth day of the tournament, will be consoled with the special Nekonishiki Nakabi booby prize (Nekonishiki Nakabi Zannen Sho). All Sandanme, Makushita, Juryo and Makunouchi rikishi (except Nekonishiki!) are eligible for this prize. In the case that two or more Bench Rikishi all get the first kachi-koshi on nakabi, then the highest ranked will be awarded the prize.
